Let's Make Your Film
The programme
A collective lab to make your first film, from idea to screen.
Our mission
Let's Make Your Film is a collective lab for making first films, founded in 2018 by Solis Production. Our idea is simple: demystify the filmmaking process and give a real chance to anyone who wants to express themselves through images.
If you are selected, we support you from start to finish: script development, preparation, shooting, post-production, then distribution in festivals and cinemas. You are never alone: a crew of technicians, actors and partners makes the film with you.

Frequently asked questions
The call is open to anyone with a first film in them who wants to see it through. What matters is your vision and your drive to defend it. The exact conditions are set out in the rules of each call.
No. Let's Make Your Film is designed precisely for first films. Eligibility conditions are set out in the rules of each call.
The films supported so far are fiction, docu-fiction and documentary shorts, roughly 12 to 30 minutes long. Formats, running times and required documents are specified in the rules of each call.
An edition follows six stages: selection, development, pre-production, shooting, post-production and release. For edition 5, the CinéMash residency came before shoots in August 2024 and a release in September 2025. Dates for each new call are announced on the site and in the newsletter.
Let's Make Your Film brings together technical partners and support funds to cover production: equipment, crew, logistics, post-production. Any fees and the share left to directors are specified in the rules of each call.
How rights are split between the director and the production is specified in the rules of each call. Everything is set down in writing before work begins, so everyone knows exactly where they stand.
CinéMash brings the winners together with artists from other disciplines to rewrite the scripts side by side. During the residency, your project meets other perspectives and comes out stronger. It is run with Solis Production, the Institut français d'Algérie and the British Council.
Each edition opens casting calls and internships in film crafts. Interns experience a real shoot alongside the crew. Sign up for the newsletter to hear as soon as a call opens.
