CinéMash, the residency where the scripts were born

Nobody writes a script alone. That's the idea behind CinéMash, the writing residency that kicked off edition 5 of Let's Make Your Film.

The four winners were joined by artists from other disciplines. Every project was read, discussed and shaken up by many voices. Characters sharpened, scenes found their place, and the films took their final shape.

The residency was organised by Solis Production with the Institut français d'Algérie and the British Council. Beyond the work, CinéMash also meant shared meals, portraits and conversations running late into the night: a team coming together before the very first clap.

Those exchanges gave birth to Aswat, Soumeya, Le Reflet and L'Être indélébile. And that's the method we want to pass on with every new edition.
